No New Years resolutions from me. I've seldom made any.
I for one am sure that some people in Whitehall are very well aware of what will be going on in tier 2 areas tonight.
Why didn't they close pubs with immediate effect in tier 2 areas as of 6pm? We can assume what the results of close proximity social mixing will result in, so can those in Whitehall.
There will always be people who wont understand or follow the rules. It would be better if your blame were directed at them rather than the government and health service who are trying to deal with the problem

Not disputing your data Peter. The info I quoted came from a National News publication. They reach a wider audience than Pentax User. I did only ask: "Does the UK regulator know something Pfizer doesn't?"
I did not include astrazenica.

You did in the comment "Originally Pfizer and Oxford (astrazenica) jabs intended to be injected in space of four weeks". I did not include astrazenica.
AstraZenica vaccine was only approved today, I posted a link to their website where the terms of approval are published including the term 4-12 weeks.

Hopefully not too pointless wishing all here a Happy & Safe New Year.
Breakfast is finished and it's nearly time to defrost the car.
Our German duo retailers are open at 08:00 and I need to get some "stuff" for later today.

Oh how things change.
I have a 'Photobucket' free account which I can't close, no problem there except..
..Photobucket was set up as a FREE image hosting service, they were taken over a while back and suddenly wanted PAYING.
I, along with presumably thousands of others cleared out folders and left..
..but the images are still there, even AFTER deleting them and now the latest home screen tells me it's against their rules for me to host images (which I am not doing) from their site unless I PAY them.
Sod that for a game of monkeys, I just want to delete MY images on THEIR servers!
And I can only access the first 250 images!
If it wasn't so early I'd have a beer!

Been there. I had nearly thirty albums linked to The Friends of the DLI blog. I had to find, resize, upload to Google Photos and redo all of the links. It took more than a day and I am still looking for one or two sets. The only good thing about it is all of the photos are in one place and are now 1400 pix on the long side instead of 800. and they look better

Aren't Google going to start charging for photos too?
Photobucket have to find me before they can charge me for anything left there (I deleted everything as far as I know) since they only have my old email address and that provider no longer exists.

The same thing happened when Shutterstock reduced their commission rates, thousands of photographers tried to delete their accounts but the photos were still on the site. I guess their servers cannot respond very quickly when there is a surge in demand.

In a word yes ,only if you need to top up your free allowance.Aren't Google going to start charging for photos too?
I have 21GB and only 2.73 GB used, 2.28 on Google Drive and 0.45 ln Photos.
I have about 90 event albums which contain umteen thousands of resized images, these are just used for sharing.
I have more than enough storage to see me out

2 bits of good news today,
firstly I don't have a hangover despite drinking far too much last night, the result of bad TV and boredom.
Second, I appear to have removed ALL my images from Photobucket.
Result, and a happy new year to one and all.

Well I think I got good value, to take up the paid for option at current the rate would be $156 per year. I had the account for thirteen years so $2028 or £1400 ish
Photobucket did not delete any images unlike Flickr who I understand deleted everthing over 1000. I wonder how many users moved to the paid for pro version.
I now have an empty bucket but will use it again to save club competition entries
As for Google, when they took over Picasa all of the images were archived and are still accessible

Regulator now recommending jabs are given in two doses three months apart
Originally Pfizer and Oxford jabs intended to be injected in space of four weeks
Change in strategy is to cope with spiking Covid cases and hospitalisations"[/i]
Does the UK regulator know something Pfizer doesn't?
"The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has provided authorisation for emergency supply of COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca, formerly AZD1222, for the active immunisation of individuals 18 years or older. The authorisation recommends two doses administered with an interval of between four and 12 weeks. This regimen was shown in clinical trials to be safe and effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19, with no severe cases and no hospitalisations more than 14 days after the second dose."
Best not to spread wrong information on subjects like these. A very large percentage of the public are not well read, and are likely to accept your kind of statements as fact.
