Sunny here most of the day fter a night of heavy rain. The north wind doth blow but we won't have snow...
Just as well as we forgot to get the winter tyres put on the car!

Dog walked in cold sunshine, clouds disappearing over the horizon. Arrived home to find some deal or other had been done. And according to NORAD, Santa is currently heading for the Maldives having already delivered almost 2 billion gifts.

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope the rain isn't as bad as in Woodstock, NY. My wife's family was evacuated in the night because the river is threatening to wash the house away.

A Merry Xmas to all here from a frozen but sunny North East.

A would appear that I'm to be a nice smelling, sock wearing, alcoholic, medium format macro picture taking individual for the next few weeks........
Too far from a shore.

Happy Christmas everyone. Just eaten a fine meal (thank you Mrs L ), now waiting for a Zoom session with the family. If your day is as good as mine, you'll be doing fine!

Merry Christmas to all. It's been a bright sunny day in south Cambridgeshire but barely above freezing. Stepson brought us a duck a couple of days ago, so my wife will roast it tonight. Only just enough meat on a duck for the two of us, but we prefer it to turkey. We have a bottle of good Beaujolais too. Yumm.

I once heard it said that "The French like a goose for Christmas". Snigger.

Well the sun shone down south which was nice. Saw the sons and the grandsons. Much whatsapping back and forth with the UK.
Just got back from the south to more rain.

Hope your in-laws are OK Kris. Friends of ours are under evacuation order for a wildfire in California. Not the best way to spend Christmas.

House didn't wash away so that's good but a tree came down on the main road taking out the power. 🙄 They are staying at the hotel until its restored.

And the good news here is that my neighbour says the brew he has been making using my hops is now in bottles and will be ready to drink in about a week's time.

I look forward to the review Steve.
Well, after he had sampled a bottle, next door recommended leaving the beer for a few more weeks before drinking. After another sample, he recommended leaving it a bit longer. So I decided to open the first bottle on Christmas day. Here is the review:

A cheeky brew that is more complex than it looks. It pours easily from the bottle with little head and its golden hue looks good in a pint glass. The fruity aroma tempts the nose while the initial sip makes any resistance futile. Smooth textured, there is nevertheless enough dissolved gas to bring a sparkle to the back of the tongue. The combination of fruity aroma and slight bitterness is well balanced. It works its way gently around the mouth and nostrils, changing entertainingly as you savour the flavour. This is a drink for enjoying at a relaxed pace, allowing time for each encounter between beer and taste buds to work its magic before reaching again for the glass. All in all, an excellent beer that was well worth the wait.

How’s that, Gwyn?
