Another pointless thread

Putting to one side the effect of the rush to stockpile food from the supermarket, I do understand that during times of stress and uncertainty why people may wish to stock up on eggs, pasta, rice etc. But who is stockpiling lettuce ?

On a positive note, I was (tasked with) cleaning some of the kitchen cupboards and I came across not one but two bottles of single malt that I had forgotten about.

I have tomorrow off and the weather forecast is for a fine day: I'm going to go for a walk and have my camera with me for the first time in a month.

(Apologies for the photography related content of this post.)

Christmas was delivered this morning, turkey breast, sprouts and all, a local supplier who is spreading out to do national deliveries. The food's good and delivery times short, their depot is literaly just over the hill from us. They're called Delifresh, google for more info.

Right, that's the free ham earned, now where were we...

OK, I don't 'lick' sheep, the word is LIKE, bl***y phone. Two bottles of single malt lost in a cupboard? That only happens when the boss tidies up.

Any beer is good beer when it hits the spot, and just at the moment I could do with one, but it'ss a little early and Rupert the floor cleaning robot needs his box emptying.
Cheers, HG

We use Delifresh also. Our delivery this week included 1kg bags of various nuts: walnuts, hazelnuts and cashews. I haven't seen the cashews so I'm guessing Mrs LTL has finished them off.

I read somewhere (and therefore this must be true), that Ferroro of Nutella and Rocher fame account for 30% of global consumption of hazelnuts. Given how delicious the hazelnuts from Delifresh are I can see that proportion decreasing as we order yet more

I wish we had something like that here.
Christmas was delivered here this morning too, but from the Dutch equivalent of Tesco. I am very glad I bought a subscription to a weekly delivery from them a while ago. Bottle of Jura slipped in there somehow though.

Went out with the camera yesterday afternoon/evening to try and get photos of the fleet lit up. Not very successful - His Nibs was being helpful and tried to set up the tripod for me, but instead of tightening one leg he unscrewed it completely.
Fixed it when we got home, and of course today it is chucking it down...

Neighbour dropped off a Christmas card in the box, then rang the bell and from a great distance gave the news one of her sons has Covid. Not good as her husband has Parkinson. They can't get tested yet though.

Best regards, John

Clouds started to build up shortly after Mrs L. told me that I've got to walk the dog today because she's too busy in the kitchen.
