Another pointless thread

There was an Englishman who made them and sold them online for a while but he seems to have given up, and there are a couple of expat shops online but they are expensive and the sausages are not great, more Walls pink plastic than Cumberland.
We used to make our own. I shall have to dig out the machine and try again. Not much else to do these days.

Traditional Cumberland sausage is a 'Protected Geographical Indication' product. If you want to make it, you'll have to take a trip to Cumbria to do it - or just call it something else .

Isn't that County Durham

I'd just call them tasty. No intention of going into business, no where near skilled enough at making sausages for that and too much like hard work. Have to find a source of skins first as well.
I do refer to the pasties I make Cornish pasties too

I'm not sure if the PGI will still apply after the end of the year.

Look at your phone as that should tell you the day (and time) - and (with the right App) which is East and which is West

OTOH, I regularly have to "remind" SWMBO" of both
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

When you assemble a Cumberland sausage in the traditional way, do you have to curl it up from the inside out or the outside in?

... and does it depend on whether you're in the northern or southern hemisphere?

that's up-north from where I'll be and then I'll need to push back north before Saturday as there's a possibility of Scottish smoked salmon from Fortunes Kippers at Whitby, but that journey will be on two wheels and there's a growing urge to put a battery in the Z as I've not used it since the last Goth festival at Whitby.

"Somehow", I don't think he'll venture that far South (unless he try's to avoid the rain for a day or two)
