A hospital visit yesterday raised a few questions..

I had to wear a 'visor', no problem, and a 'surgical mask' ,OK

But I walked in wearing a full face motorcycle helmet and was told to take it off'''

Surely my helmet has the same effect as 'proper' stuff?

You should be flattered - it means that they wanted to see a bit more of your handsome face.

"where were you last night?"

It's so long ago, I don't remember

"What about tonight?"

I never plan that far ahead.

And the powers that be are making just as big a pigs ear of it all...
Brexit still gets a mention, just further down the list now.
The news folks will have to invent something else when (if?) Covid is under control.

One of many sad things for me about Brexit is it will be almost impossible to buy stuff from SRS any more.

Been off for a pootle around eastern Netherlands in the camper for a mid Covid escape, and am enjoying the lovely weather now we are back.

Had a pootle home from work this evening.

Observed a couple of bats flitting around, a couple of blackbirds shouting at a tawny owl, a couple of ducks paddling by and a pheasant choosing which car to jump in front of.

Getting older and grumpier. Taking longer to decide which lens to use today.

Went to a big garden centre yesterday. Big mistake. Almost nothing but Christmas stuff.

Maybe they are hoping that after a really rubbish year everyone will go OTT on decorations.
