Be careful with ladders. I recently erected a metal shed, assisted by a friend. Friend didn't put his step ladder on a sound surface, ladder and friend went sideways and landed on the ground. Friend escaped with just a splinter in a finger. He was very lucky, particularly as he landed on the bit of metal that he was taking up the ladder. I wasn't so lucky. It took 3 weeks to get a replacement for the bent bit. At least it was just a shed. Going without a conservatory roof for a few weeks would be more serious... .

John -Here they would slide up the tiles and use the lats as a roof ladder. Less slippery and tiles less likely to be damaged!
I hate ladders, even little tiny step ladders, but being vertically challenged in a land of giants I have to use one more than I like.
His Nibs just bought some fancy leaf catchers for the base of thhe downpipes so he doesn't have to clear the gutters so much. Downside is even I can clear the leaves out now
Take care with your roof. I am sure you will be glad to have it done and be able to sit out in the conservatory again now the weather is cooler.
What does your signature mean? Translation please?

Talking of ladders, I have a photo shoot at a garden party coming up, with 54 socially distanced people. The only way I can see to get everyone in is from the top of a stepladder which I am not looking forward to, so I had better go easy on the Prosecco!

Barrie, I don’t have a drone, one of the reasons being my village is a drone-free zone due to the small airfield nearby. Gwyn, I’m not that good at PS so a ladder it is!

Gwyn, would you believe K10D in reverse ( using I in place of 1 )What does your signature mean? Translation please?
We had spuggies nesting in the loft this year,so it was a good day to check all of the pointing.
The tiles are quite grippy so not a real poblem we just keep off the original tiles as they are fifty years old and will be brittle. The only problem was after dinner the tiles were too hot to touch for any length of time.
So it was back to the gazebo construction

I have to share this, just love this guy's work especially the auto mechanics series; they were not models but the photographer came across them in a garage and they agreed to pose for recreations of Renaissance and other art works. Ok he may or may not use a Pentax but what an inspiration!
link Take a look at his Snap-On series as well, just great!
