Another pointless thread

I used my phone camera in France last October, all well and good, but it didn't like getting wet.

Rain and motorcycles are a good way to kill mobile phones!

Fortunately I'd only backed up to google images and after drying out the phone worked again. The micro SD card needed replacing though, at £12 not cheap, and only 8gb.

Still if I will go touring at that time of year...

Anyone seen a white van with a sticker on it saying "No toilet rolls are left in this van overnight"?

Or is it an urban myth?

Brother's 75th birthday cancelled. Well the party for it anyway, hopefully not the actual birthday.
Got a full refund from the ferries and the B&B.

Tough for your brother Gareth. I hope they can recoup the expenses and move it all to another date.

Even worse I am stuck with His Nibs at home all the time, as his music evenings have been cancelled .

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

Mrs. Wozhere said, "while you are out keep a lookout for some toilet rolls." She was astonished when I came home carrying a pack of 18 of them!

Our local Aldi only had 24 roll packs on the shelf yesterday..

...seems the older shopers can't carry them!

On the plus size, one of the staff helped an elderley couple out by carrying a pack to their car for them.

Just what is it with toilet rolls anyway?

Well here’s a twist, our local bakery was about to close after 100 years but with the supermarket shelves empty they are baking bread like mad to keep up with renewed demand. They are also offering a doorstep drop-off for telephone orders, a real community effort.

His Nibs went shopping today. No sign of panic, only a couple of things low. I hope it's the same tomorrow when it is my turn to venture out and do the week's shopping. He wouldn't do it today - he's over 70 and didn't want to be mixing too much with people. That's his excuse anyway.
Tomorrow I shall take my hopefully-but-who-knows-not-covid-cough to the bigger supermarket. I expect it to have been stripped by the time I get there.

Meanwhie my son's season is as good as cancelled. Not good. His boss is looking into how to pay him for the summer with both the boat and his other business (buildings stands for exhibitions and window dressing) at a standstill.
Son #2 likely to be put on reduced hours as well as TV slowly shuts down.

Puts inability to travel into perspective somewhat.
