Just sobered up from the wake on Friday night, I just hope that the rest of Europe will still welcome us 'foreigners' when we visit.

With a name like 'Gwyn' you'd always be welcome in Wales!

Doilch. Hen wlad fy mamau.

Long since forgotten the Welsh I knew though. My brain can only cope with a couple of languages at a time nowadays, and the unused one got jettisoned. Only Welsh relatives left are Anglophones, and I haven't seen them in years sadly.

Mowed the lawns today. Has anyone else got grass that won't stop growing this winter?

No grass, just weeds which won't stop growing no matter what time of year it is.
laid some paving in front of the shed yesterday, which looks better than the old pallet we had there as a step!
Battening down the hatches soon in anticipation of Ciara. 3 days of 8-9 force winds predicted for here.

Looking forward to Ciara here. A friend and I are due to demolish a shed next Thursday. With a bit of luck, Ciara might save us the effort.

Ciara has been kind enough to provide a brand new pool at the rear of the garden that's deep enough for ducks to paddle. Nearly big enough for an RC float plane to use. Some serious amount of water fell yesterday and over last night. It's still raining......

I'm on a coffee break from my workshop. A major overhaul of my lathe in progress. Any outside jobs need to wait until the weather breaks.

Back down to the most bombed city (houses/buildings) and birthplace of Tom Courtenay next week.
