OK so totally off topic and not even Pentax or camera related.......

Has anyone dabbled with DAZ Studio?

I happened on this a while back and it's served as a stop gap between my lack of interest in photography and the desire to still create images without having to get off my a**e.

For those unaware of the software: it's basically a freebie with the option to purchase add-on's, Using it is a bit like full blown photoshop insofar as it's a pain in the ass to get your head around You get to manipulate a figure in 3D (morphs, pose, clothes, hair etc.) and then light and finally render as a 2D image.

And guys....you can do naked ladies too

No I haven't tried it. When I get my computer back from the removal men I might have a look.

Can you do naked men too?

Next time in the UK, if you haven't already, go to Crosby Sands to see the naked man. It's supposed to be based on the scupltor's body but think he was exaggerating part of his anatomy bearing in mind he's supposed to be in cold sea water.

Antony Gormley did the same to the statues I saw at Ballard Lake in West Australia. link

I looked and thought to myself "lightweight" and pulled out my 600mm f/4

Both male and female figures load up in their birthday suits Gwyn but if your that way inclined there's also anatomically correct add-ons available

Na, not that interested in dangly bits.

O we are in our new house, the furniture arrived today. Before it went in store I removed the keys to a couple of cupboards, and put them in a safe place. Trouble is five weeks later I cannot for the life of me remember where.

Crowbar job!
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Chuffed. This is my 3,000th post. Not in the same massive league as some of you other guys but its a milestone. I posted in Pointless Threads when I hit the 2,000th two or three years back and threatened to do the same with no. 3,000. So there.

Congratulations on your 3000th post!

Slowly heading for 10,000, but I don't see me reaching it any time soon.

We solved the key problem. His Nibs went to a local shop and explained the problem. They gave him a bunch of about 50 keys to try. Luckily we didn't need to try too many before we found the right keys. He took the bunch back and bought the right keys. A few more boxes emptied. I'll get round to my camera stuff eventually.

Nice to see the old firm are still around,

I keep dropping in and resisting the urge to post but 'Strictly' is now driving me to distraction...

...so it's another beer!

May hit the gin later too...

Nope!

Here's a good one, a while back (Last year about this time!) y K5 stopped, it died, wouldn't work, sort of snuffed it.

While moving things this week it slid out of it's coffin, sorry the cameara bag, impacted heavily on the floor...

....and has started working again!

Now, the problem is I went and bought a new K3ii....
