Not that this forum is anything like this but........

How many online forum group members does it take to change a lightbulb?
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.
27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs.
53 to flame the spell checkers.
41 to correct spelling/grammar flames.
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"...another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp".
15 know-it-alls who claim *they* were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is the industry standard.
109 to post that this group is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb group.
111 to defend the posting to this group saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts *are* relevant to this group.
306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique, and what brands are faulty.
27 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs.
14 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's.
33 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too".
12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy.
19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three".
4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ.
16 to post "F".
44 to ask what is a "F".
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
143 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs".
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again....
😉 Merry Christmas 🎄
...and one to post that Pentax light bulbs are better than anyone else's and you should use them if you don't want your house to go on fire!

OMG, the thread is still around!

Long time no post, but I keep trying to catch up, the reason for this post is to comment on the sad demise of Lord Snowden.
He was a good photographer and once said something like all photography is just good luck. I'm not a recent royalist but do appreciate his work.

RIP.
Cheers, HG

Hey HG good to see your here. How's thing?

Yes it is sad about Lord Snowdon. I have always enjoyed his photographs, and have enjoyed seeing some of them again with the tributes paid to him.

Royal by marriage so does that count?

Too busy de-cluttering to be around much, or take many photos at the moment.

It's dark, cold, cloudy and wet, and I have a cold. Welcome to the English Midlands in January! Apart from a walk yesterday when the light was too poor to even bother taking a camera I haven't been out for ages and suffering withdrawal symptoms; got so bored I even stared sorting my photos in Lightroom.

Things are just fine Gwyn, I've got a new K3II and lens so have been playing with that.

I've also been busy hosting a couple of manual sites for 2 moped/autocycle forums...

...and drinking plenty of beer, wine and other stuff?
Cheers, HG

Good hear it.

My sons used to have Kreidler mopeds when they were youths. They loved those things. Me not so much - always pieces of them scattered around! Oldest son kept his love of two wheels and now gets around exclusively on a motorbike, though I have no idea what it is.

I never did get a K3II. Maybe I'll have to wait for the next big thing, if I can afford one.

RobL I know what you mean about the weather. It has been too slippery underfoot here to get out much, and the only times it thawed enough to walk safely it rained hard. The days are getting noticeably longer. Spring can't be too far away. Can it?

Tomorrow is officially the most depressing day of the year apparently btw.

K1?

As for Spring, although the weather here has been, er, interesting, we don't seem to have had winter yet!

Well done that man! Seriously congratulations, well deserved recognition.

It's blinking cold here, hasn't been above 0C for a few days. I blame His Nibs for deciding not to bother with winter tyres this year after the last few mid winters.
