That is anything but pointless Gary. I am sorry to hear your news.
Keeping you both in my thoughts and hoping for a positive outcome.
Hopefully our photography will provide you a much needed break occasionally.

My best wishes to you and Mrs Catterick Gary. My wife Irene was recently very ill and after major surgery is now on the way to a full recovery. Fortunately for us they have ruled out cancer but it was still a very worrying time.

Gary i'm going to send you hugs
so many people forget about the family when cancer is in the mix
I hope you and family are supporting each other and my fingers are crossed for your wife. I out drinking with a friend left behind after cancer took his wife and left him with one amazing kids to bring up on his own. I meet him while on holiday in Rome and as he is full of life it's all a front but hats of to him he is amazing dad.

wishing you all the luck and support

Gary

My wife is a cancer survivor. Stay positive, it's a testing time, but there is hope.

Survivor and Positive are both good, but it doesn't harm to cross a few fingers and I'm quite sure there will be many of those.

Best wishes for you both.

Deeply appreciate all of your comments. First treatment over and done with. The wife is very positive and I've every faith in her.

It's opened my eyes to what goes on in day care units. The unit we attended today at James Cook was very busy. Just so many people getting chemo from morning through to evening, five days a week, every week.

Once again, your support and comments are really appreciated.

Sincerely.

Gary

Rather a belated "good wishes" from me too. My dear wife went through that several years ago, and thankfully she survives with no recurrences. I have heard that the James Cook is a very good hospital. Better than the chaotic juggernaut that we have to use as a regional hospital in Cambridge.

Not that this forum is anything like this but........

How many online forum group members does it take to change a lightbulb?
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.
27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs.
53 to flame the spell checkers.
41 to correct spelling/grammar flames.
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"...another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp".
15 know-it-alls who claim *they* were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is the industry standard.
109 to post that this group is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb group.
111 to defend the posting to this group saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts *are* relevant to this group.
306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique, and what brands are faulty.
27 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs.
14 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's.
33 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too".
12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy.
19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three".
4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ.
16 to post "F".
44 to ask what is a "F".
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
143 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs".
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again....

Merry Christmas to you too, Alan.

I am on another, non-photo, forum where threads from as long ago as 12 years have been resurrected, often by a spammer, and people start responding as if it is a new thread. Always fun to see.

Good to see this thread resurrected too .

And a very Merry Christmas to you too, Alan, even though I am an arachnophobe.

Now don't start on that one!!!!
