This thread seems to have become pointless.
But in case not who stole summer?

I had it here for a while Gwyn, but I seem to have misplaced it.
It's a shame, because Andy, our Painter and Decorator, is just starting to paint the outside of our house.

Hopefully the sun is in Scotland next week. Our middle son and the grandkids are going camping along the west coast .
They don't mind cool, but wet is no fun with a six and an eight year old in a tent.
I'm giving it a couple more days then I think we will go find the sun if it doesn't find us.
Saturday was dramatic here with lots of trees down, tents and caravans destroyed, buildings and cars damaged.
Our eldest son was sailing back to his home harbour on Sunday and just missed going through a waterspout. The yacht behind wasn't so lucky, but suffered only slight damage. They had to stick to the narrow channel, as the sea is very shallow otherwise, so it wasn't easy to avoid it.
He posted a few amazing photos of several spouts around him. He described it as sailing through tornado alley. I was so glad to hear he was safely in harbour.

There is another steamer going from Bristol to Par, which if you are positioned north of Newton Abbot you will see as well.

Langstone Rock near Dawlish Warren or one of the stone piers on the sea-front at Dawlish would be my pick.

Sun, West Coast, Scotland. Oh dear, well it should be character building for them Gwyn. Shame as it`s such a wonderful part of the World. Mrs Cedric and I had two weeks in the Outer Hebrides and on occasions it did reach 10 degrees.
Enjoy life
