Well, you'd expect that in Crete. We were in Chaniá in June a few years back, for a local friend's wedding, and Chaniá was like an oven; in the high 30s I think.

Enjoy it in the shade!

Someone must be arriving in Perth or leaving Perth in August, at a guess.

We are currently sitting beside the Meuse in the sunshine, bbq warming up nicely. Gave up on the weather at home, but I would be lying if I didn't admit to horrible showers on the way here.
Last night was a free stop at a mine museum in Belgium. We like free overnight stays.

They'll like that.

Our freinds in Sweden already think we're mad so a little pointlessness is normal as far as they're concerned!

Have a good time Stuey.

Saw a man in Keswick today who was wearing an instantly recognisable standard issue Pentax camera strap. I was so surprised I missed a step as I came out of a shop and he reached out to steady me. I told him I was surprised to see another Pentax user out in the wild and he said yes we are a rare breed. Didn't get his name but the camera was a K-3 so if you're reading this you know who you are.

Just back from a week in Lorraine and Alsace. Very nice. Great weather, nice camper aires and campsites, good walking. Only downside, if you can call it that, was lack of WiFi at most sites.
Now home until the end of the month when we do a flying visit to the UK for yet another wedding. Fly into East Midlands on the Friday, wedding Saturday, fly home again Sunday, celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary on the Tuesday (1 September).

Stuey, I know Llangranog. The mother of my mate Sarah, who went to nursery school with me back in the stone age, comes from there, and Sarah was married there. Lovely place, though I haven't been there for many years now. Hopefully it hasn't changed too much.

Glad you were caught by a fellow Pentaxian Stan!

Not a downside for us. Where we go in North Yorkshire one cannot get TV, no mobile phone signal, very little radio (mainly longwave, and that badly) and definitely no WiFi. That's one reason why we like it there! It's about 12 miles to the Public Library in Whitby, if one really needs to use a computer!
