Another pointless thread

I'm just back from a week in Eastern Germany. We should still be there but the dog needed to see the vet, and not speaking German we decided it was better to head home to our own.
Dog goes under the knife tomorrow, for the removal of a (hopefully) benign tumour in a delicate area.
It was blinking cold up there, but at least it only rained at night. Peenemünde was interesting, in a weird, semi grim sort of a way. The museum is really well presented.

Thanks Ken and Gary.
Timber is home, wearing a rather snazzy blue track suit and looking a lot thinner without his fur coat. The tumour was benign, the vet is happy with him.
We go back in 10 days to get the stitches out. I don't think the tracksuit will look so snazzy by then .

As I virtually never use these Gwyn, the outcome deserves this:
Too far from a shore.

Hope Timber's well on the way to fit again Gwyn.
Yes I'm back, well pickled and feeling great! and the little Punto did a stirling job.
A bit more expensive on fuel, she's only a 1242cc petrol engine as opposed to the 1600cc deisel in the Citroen, but 2570 miles on the clock and in excess of 60 litres of plonk brought back, and she drove just fine.
I've just been down in the wine cellar (I kid not!) and made Mrs HG's day, she'd forgotten 3 bottles of Chataigne (LINK) liquor down there, so had I!
still we're back relaxed, a good time was had and the local French wine stock has a big hole now.
