Marmalade and cheese also work, and of course the old favourite Marmite and cheese.
Mixing flavours can have quite exciting results.

Interesting cheese combinations
Having spotted my error on the previous page where I meant to state that I like the medicinal reasoning but made a mess of it I am now concerned that we have moved away from the medicinal suggestions
Off to pack the car now - hopefully I can stay awake long enough to drive to the lakes

Interesting combination . Not tried that but I can see how it would work with some cheeses .
Stan - what have you tried it with ?
More or less anything listed under "Special Offer" usually Cheddar also the cheese delivered on board ship was anonymous, no label, and the colour was no guide either

I have to discuss this mixing of cheese and other items. Whilst it's fine to do that in the privacy of your own home anybody selling Wensleydale PRE-mixed with anything needs their head examining. Why mess with perfection?

Birthday Talisker being finished off tonight. Well spoken John, Marmite & Cheese is really good but then so is Marmalade and cheese or Jam & cheese got to be a good strong Cheddar IMHO. Favourite of mine is Strawberry jam & Peanut Butter together in a fresh white bread. Yum!
Enjoy life

Well I have to say I agree with that - BUT when Daughter#1 introduced me to Wensleydale with mango and ginger I became hooked on it - incredible flavour . Our grandkids adore it !
