new name for the gallery
Why not just be able to label your photo as bad or that you want C&C just like you can now label them as landscape, portrait, etc. so that you are able to filter them. it's really looking at the problem the different way around, I find it hard to judge my own photo if it's good enough or not beca...

new name for the gallery
The main problem is that there is so much wild grow at the moment and the more user there are the more photos there will be upload and the more you will need to search to find the splendid photos. Wouldn't it be posible to get a rating system where others can give a rating like say 1 to 5 stars a...

Some recent ebay sales
Not too much to go wrong with a set of extension tubes though! I must admit that as I am buying for myself, I stick to better described items. My one punt on a KX (not through ebay) was pretty dire. The "freebie" was a filter with a hole in it  I got my money back, eventually, but only a...

Buying pentax in London
SRS are very good and if you're flying into Heathrow they are "on the way" into town. Tottenham Court Road in London is full of electronics and camera shops and is also a good bet. Most will be prepared to match other stores prices but may not offer unless you ask! Don't be afraid to haggle a bit...

Too many similar insect and bird pictures.
I don't mind them, but if people were posting baby photos all the time then I would feel the same. I think it would help if people put a useful title on a thread so at least you can decide if you want to view it or not. There are too many posts like 'a few I took earlier ...' or just single word...

Too many similar insect and bird pictures.
Why don't you just filter what you see? If you don't like the birds and insects then don't look at them. Personally I like them and want to see more Keep up the good work peeps  Paul :)

The Oddest Camera
I have another batch of cameras here ready for eBay (when my migraine lets me) including the oddest thing I have found so far. A home made 35mm camera. I'll try and get an image of it later. It's based on a box, maybe a cut down box camera, with a Kodak rectilinear lens and shutter grafted on ...

System Exclusives
Just following on from comments about how extensive or otherwise the pentax system is, I thought it might be interesting to think about the items that are exclusive to the various marques. Starting with Pentax, how about the following exclusive items: Pentax Nocta (IR flash and 300mm lens for ...

Kaeseman or normall B+W polarizer
Stefan, on my DA* 50-135 I use a Hoya Pro1 Digital Filter, it has a low profile frame. I have had no problems with it. :D

Kaeseman or normall B+W polarizer
Thank you Dave, I know that Hoya is very good as well but I already have an B+W and it's lovely to work with. If polarizers wouldn't be as expensive I would have tried them but since they aren't I simply want to buy one I know I won't be disapointed. You said you've a low profile (slim) filter bu...
