Aerial Photography

First thing, if possible is having a high wing plane. It is a lot easier to shoot without the wing in the way (as in low wing). If flying in a Cessna, unscrew the bracket that keeps the window partially open, so it goes all the way up to the wing, that way you are not shooting through scratched pl...

UK weather

So, how do you folks deal with poor weather conditions? I don't mean rain etc, just consistent, grey overcast skies! We went away at the weekend and I thought I'll really get chance to play with my new camera and knowledge. No chance. When the sky wasn't dark grey, it way light grey. Not enou...

Hi

Still having trouble logging into Pentax user website...why?

Hi, Over the last 4 weeks I have failed to get on here several times. The norton blocked the site saying it was a dubious site. Yesterday the site was completely down and this time, the microsoft phishing filter took a dislike to this site and took ages to let it through. It seems to have an i...

Still having trouble logging into Pentax user website...why?

I've just logged onto the site to find one of those 'dodgy' click through adverts at the top of the forum page instead of the usual types. I understand they are google adverts in this section, so if by mistake the wrong type of adverts are being generated on the page I could easily see why your fil...

DA* 50-135 67mm lens cap

The pinch grip is widely used by Tamron if I am correct. So maybe Tamron can help you out. The Australian distributor is Maxwell: The 28-75 di lens seems to have a 67mm filter diameter. The cap itself has partnumber CP67 and looks like this: Hama has a universal one as well with ...

Why do people spend money on photoshop?

Dunno about later releases, but last time used the Gimp, it was slow and unstable. It lacked some of the features I 'thought" I needed in photoshop at the time and tutorials were geared towards photoshop and generally near unavailable for other products. At the time, I also got PS for less ...

Why do people spend money on photoshop?

It depends what you use it for.... (as ever). For pure photography, Photoshop Elements is hard to beat. I find the Adobe way of handling filters and layers much faster than any other package. However, I have nothing against Gimp, Paint Shop Pro, or anything else that gets the job done. However...

Adult filter

According to the announcements, we now have an "Adult Filter", and can mark our gallery submissions as "Adult", if we deem it appropriate so to do. Is this change meant to encourage "adult" submissions, or discourage them? If this "facility" was not meant to stimulate the production of such ma...

What has sparked this off? Demanding minds need to know. An instinct to control?

Does that filter out everything but "Adult" content? Dirty minds want to know.... I think it's ok. They're trying new stuff out. I won't likely be submitting anything there though.

I'm simply surprised that somebody thought there was a need for it. But perhaps it's a fiendish plot to entice people to visit the gallery. G

Adult filter

If it is, then David's announcement was well hidden! It's the same as the filter on EPZ and gives you the choice not to view nudes and glamour if you don't want to and that's really all it is. No plots I'm afraid, although I admit I don't know that, so you could be right.
