Adult filter

I did submit a photo to the gallery yesterday and marked it as "adult" (I like to think that I am taking grown up photos. No nudity, though, just a test). It does show someone's tackle well, though.

To clarify, the Adult Content option when uploading is to be used if your photo contains adult content (ie: nudity [breast, bum and genitalia]). If you photo does not contain this sort of material, you do not need to tick the box. I believe a good rule of thumb is would this photo be allowed to be...

The Gallery

The one a day feature is to make sure that everyone gets a fair shot at exposure in the gallery. More weasel words (like the law you were too busy to remember). How does everyone get a "fair shot" when there are two different sets of rules? If you actually wanted EVERYBODY to have a "fair shot...

Beer and milk are sold in pints yet every other foodstuff is sold using metric measures. We buy petrol in lit...

cokin

Hi could someone point me into the right direction on filter holders A or P or are they the same, thanks paul

Posted by ashwell on 24/12/2008 - 16:04

cokin

A is smaller than P. It depends on the filter thread size of the lenses that you are using as to which you nedd. So, anything above 58mm (I think) will need the larger size holder and corresponding filters. Also if you have a very wide angle lens you might need the P size or even larger anyway to...

cokin

If you use wide angle you will still get vignetting with the P series. look at the Z=Pro range too which will avoid this. The Z-Pro system is much more expensive almost double the price and Cokin now has a special P wide-angle holder that holds only 1 P-filter P Wide-Angle Holder (BPW-700) P299:...

Last time I went into a Jessops I needed a filter ring and wasn't sure if they had them, so I asked the spotty yoof behind the counter if they had any; he cogitated for a moment and replied "What size do you want, Canon or Nikon?". Lost for words I walked out.
