MZ-S Continued...
Well the thread on the MZ-S was quite the impetus I needed to lay down the digital for a while and get back to film. I purchased a couple rolls of Tmax 100 and hit the trails! I took three lenses along with my MZ-S: M28mm 2.8, M50mm 1.7, and my A70-210mm f4. What a great time! And I captured some ...

MZ-S Continued...
You've only got to compare the viewfinders of a Nikon and the Pentax. I haven't seen the viewfinder in the D200, but the D100 viewfinder is APS sized - it's like being in a box (incidentally all the Fuji S DSLRs are the same). All the lenses you mention will work a dream on the *ist-D series (and...

Optio A10's CCD image stabilizer
George saidA cheaper solution is to reduce the alcohol intake. That'll save money in two ways. I prefer to think of it as "Diffusion" Lovely soft focus schnapps diffusion...

Overexposed or blank film with Pentax PZ70
Hold the camera body with film back open, look through the lens at a light source, and fire the shutter at different aperture/shutter settings and find out if either one is sticking.

Pentax ZX-60 random slide photos are unexposed
Black means there has been no exposure at all, so maybe the shutter isn't always firing. The way to tell is to open the camera back and keep operating the shutter to see what happens. If sometimes it doesn't fire, you have your answer. About the only thing I can think to do if that is the problem...

Polarizing Filter for SP1000
Elsa, The SP 1000 does not support auto-focus lenses - which require circular polarizers, so you can use linear. Actually, you can use either - you'll still have to align either filter to get maximum polarization. This works best with the sun at 90 dergees to your subject. Over time, I've...

Just curious
That does seem an exceptional (even unlikely) price for someone to pay for an ME Super, however it's not the first time I've seen one of that sellers auctions do well. A week or so back an FA 28-200 went for something like £150+ which surprised me. That seller does tend to be auctioning items in ...

Just curious
The big answer is.... Yes! :) Payment received and Pentax cameras and lens dispatched, I couldn't fault the buyer at all. Infact he has been a Pentax user for a long, long time until all his kit was stolen. I put a few Pentax 'extras' in the box before sending everything to him in Ireland. ...

MZ5N and Tamron 28-300mm f3.5-6.3 XR Di
That sounds like a good tip Simon. This sort of question crops up quite a lot and I think the confusion comes from the general rule that f8 @ 125th sec. has the same EV regardless of lens used. If my understanding is correct, this is true for prime lenses but not for variable aperture zooms and t...

Battery issues
Have also had various problems with the grip and camera declaring batteries empty. Have not done any scientific tests as to whether happens more when camera is turned on first, before the grip, or vice versa or what. What I have foubnd is that sometimes have to power camera and grip down, open grip ...

Battery issues
Hi Chris, That's useful information for the forum. However, these problems occur when you have two sets of fully charged NiMH as well. There's definitely something kooky when you use the grip. I had it showing completely depleated battery, power off then back on, and it shows full. In the s...

Pentax *ist 35mm Question.
I believe he is talking about the *ist 35mm camera (I have one). According to Pentax, the *ist 35mm does not have screens that can be changed by the user. But, I did pop mine out to clean it a bit, and did not do a very good job. LOL. I have heard, but cannot confirm, that the interchangeabl...

MZ-60 battery issue
Try the batteries in some other equipment to check they are OK (difficult I know, perhaps take them back to the shop and have them check them) and/or try another new set from a different source/shop.

Super Program (Super A - U.K.) Problem Diagnosed
Hi All, A while ago I told you that I was entrusted with a Super Prpgram from a guardian angel ( who is launching a web site presently - hint). I was about to PM said angel, but then thought that someone else may have a similar problem with an a camera like this. Intermitantly, when a film is ...

Super Program (Super A - U.K.) Problem Diagnosed
Mac, The Super A is designed to stay on 1000 sec for the first three exposures when you close the back so that you can load the film quickly. With the lens cap on on in auto mode, it would otherwise set a shutter speed of 30 seconds and take for ever to load the film. Trust the Pentax enginee...
