Lest the memory of such a short time ago pale, the following was posted 11 pages into this (currently) 23 page thread. I can't really see why you cannot enjoy a photo at 550pixels And this, in the reporting system today: in theory you shouldn't even need an edit option I'm sensing a similar mi...

As another person who misses this feature, and can't believe that it would be at all difficult to put back, I should like to add my support for Chris's request. For the grammar-obsessed (not me, of course) it is useful if not essential, but for those who sometimes move images, it IS essential. ...

Does anyone else have problems with the text not displaying in the posts? I find that posts at the top and bottom of the page do not render the text until I scroll them up or down so they are off the browser window and then scroll them back into view. This happens at work on two different PCs both r...

Does anyone else have problems with the text not displaying in the posts? I find that posts at the top and bottom of the page do not render the text until I scroll them up or down so they are off the browser window and then scroll them back into view. I can reproduce this in IE7, but not Firefox.

Can we acknowledge that giant strides have been made in response to various requests? John, lots of people are acknowledging precisely that. Almost everyone that contributes to this thread has said at one time or another that it's a lot better now. I have too, on several occasions. It's tons ...

Changing the subject, is anyone else finding the search function almost impossible to use? I tried to find one of the recent threads on "Back focus", so I used those keywords, and got many pages of apparently irrelevant material. Whereas, typing "back focus site:pentaxuser.co.uk/forum" into Go...

Yes chris, the search function is crap. i can't get it to search for a phrase like 'infinity focus", it just pulls up a load of posts with 'focus' in. Google finds at least 9.

I was going to start a separate thread but much of what I was going to say is sort of covered here...I'll repeat it though.. Unfortunately the forum now looks more like an advertising site than a photography forum, way too many banners & too much of the viewable thread screen has been lost to ad...

Come on moderators return the balance back the the forum & away from the advertising This, sadly, is the least likely request to see a positive response, IMHO. We don't pay for membership, nor are contributions solicited, unlike the forum you're obliquely referring to. So I think we're stuc...

I have noticed that there is a lot less 'banter' going on generally, there is less discussion on competition posts and the site has quietened down considerably. I think the new competition format is partly to blame for this, we now have to navigate to another part of the site to see the images, m...

I think the new competition format is partly to blame for this, we now have to navigate to another part of the site to see the images, make several mouse clicks before the images can be seen properly, then navigate back to the forum section to comment. It seems people are less willing to do this no...

No, I just have problems with typing  I'm afraid your solution of 20 minutes to edit a post simply isn't workable to me. I'm not complaining for fun you know. I'm angry and upset that they have ruined a perfectly good resource - fixing what you have broken and giving back things you have ta...

What I truly don't understand on the topic of editing, is why it can't simply be "have it the way it was, and change it if it becomes a problem". Of course there would be a risk of abuse, but it wasn't a reality before, and there's no actual evidence that it would suddenly become so. If it did...

To be honest I have no idea, but if it's a problem then do please make a Report and IT will have a look at it. Well I have, of course, ages ago. Their position is that allowing edits at any time introduces the risk of abuse by people that change their posts after someone else has posted, in a w...

I get updates, they're just not reliable (which they need to be), which means I miss updates on threads. I should always get an update after I leave the forum and this sometimes doesn't happen with this application. I second that. e-mail notifications are working for me. Is your e-mail address c...

There are still a lot of things that need repair. I noticed ( and this really annoys me:!: ) that after you mark all threads as read, you can come back after an hour and when you hit the new post button the same posts are blinking green again. Of course they aren't new.:roll:Martin. I have this as ...

I'll be off over to http://www.pentaxforums.com now then. I'll have to buy a flame-retardant suit and a good pair of ear defenders and forget about posting anymore, but I simply cannot abide this monstrosity (and I really don't much like the other forums at all). I'll pop back once in a while to ...

A bit dramatic Jonathan and such a shame if you use it every day that you couldn't have helped with the beta test as many issues (apart from leaving as it was) could have been ironed out before it came to this stage. The bits you have issues with are going to be addressed so hopefully you'll be back...
