I've ordered the remote from 7 day so will see how that goes. For £10.00 it's worth a try.

Thanks Algeron for the feedback. I've seen the 7 day shop one now Jeff has mentioned it. I'll give that a go for the price.

Does anyone know if there's such a thing as extension cables for the Pentax remotes, that fit to the side of the camera with the jack plug? I have the remote for a K10 and a time delay one from 7dayshop but I need a longer cable.

I've got a kenko which is pretty good, see my Merganser shot. It suffers, quality wise, unless used in good light. The af is a bit slow, hunts a bit, but other than that it's a good piece of kit.
Used on a K10D with Sigma 70-300

I've had the *istDL for a few years now but upgraded to a K10D a while back, for the same reasons you're thinking. I'd go for it as the K10D is great, for me coming from an *istDL anyway. I've still got the DL and take it around for those 'you never know' shots and keep the K10D for the times I go out specifically to take pics.
The K10D is very similar, with a few extra goodies including the stabalisation, and it meant I didn't have to read the manual as I more or less knew what all the controls were already. Cheers

Every year something crops up and I don't get there. Planning well in advance this time so..... Has anyone been to the Farne Isles for Puffins? What's the best time to go there and which boat company can you recommend?
