Does anyone know if there's such a thing as extension cables for the Pentax remotes, that fit to the side of the camera with the jack plug? I have the remote for a K10 and a time delay one from 7dayshop but I need a longer cable.
Any advice gratefuly received
Cheers

A Hi-Fi extension lead should work?

OR

Buy an RF-602 Canon/Pentax Radio Remote off ebay for about
£20 works up to 100m away and can also handle flash. You need
two for remote AND flash set on different channels.

Pentax K-1 + K-5 and some other stuff

Make one.
You can get the 2.5 mm stereo plugs and sockets from Maplin, and if you don't have a soldering iron they will sell you one as well.
Three-core cable is technically better, but you can use four-core and just ignore the fourth core.
i was just about to make one myself, and the Guernsey 7-Day Shop came up with a wireless one similar to the one that Algernon suggested (and for a lot less than £20). I believe that they are currently offering this again.

Thanks Algeron for the feedback. I've seen the 7 day shop one now Jeff has mentioned it. I'll give that a go for the price.

Interesting, but no mention of focusing.

I bought both the cable release and the wireless one from 7-Day.
Chrissinkpen and I spent a little time testing the two of them and they both gave the autofocus function before release.
Chris went on to use the cable release during a Studio Night at our local camera club - no problems at all.

I've ordered the remote from 7 day so will see how that goes. For £10.00 it's worth a try.
