The live-view button on my K-r has rubbed off a fair bit. I've had it for about 10 months or something now. Funny thing is I rarely ever use live-view.

Heh, was just gonna make a panorama thread, but here's one alerady

In response to Ted, hand stitching is a pain - best to use a program as others have mentioned. Theres also a freeware one called Hugin which i've just tried and it's realy simple to use, and just works great.

Now I don't know if I should ask in here or start a new thread, but how do you know when/how to crop and colour correct/tone a panorama, or any city scape in fact. I'm giving it a good go as i've just snapped some nice skyline shots and want to make my first one, but I just don't know how far to crunch an image or how to crop them. Any thought's? Will post what i've got so far below.

Just to add, 2.7.x versions (developer builds/latest) are not built for windows by the main GIMP team.

So if you want to try em out or learn more:

http://graphicall.org/liquidape or http://partha.com/ are the best places imo.

Aww balls,

Well, my mount adaptor turned up today, so had a nice play around with it, seems nice

BUT ... it seems the lens does not like the temperture of my room, the front glass piece has completely fogged up! I put it on the desk for a few min's, all fine, next thing i know it looks like a damn snow globe on the front!

Oh well ...

Aye hopefully it works ok, can't try it yet as I don't have an adaptor. Ordered one which should hopefully come this week, which actually cost more than the lens...

Hi all,

Decided to pop into the local charity shop's while in town the other day, I rarley find anything that good, but I think this is one of the times I'm glad I went in.

Picked up a Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f3.5 / M42 Mount. To be fair I didn't realy know anything about these lenses, but it did'nt seem to have any problems - aperture ring is fine, focusing seems smooth, no fungus, little bit of dust inside and pretty greasy on both front and back, but nothing a bit of lense cleaner won't solve.

After googling around it appears I got a really nice find, and for the cost I can't complain!

The price? £3

So anyone got one of these? Any opinions? Wondering if it's worth just selling to make a bit of cash tbh ^^
