So far only had one car stolen, quite a few years ago now. We were staying at a local hotel and when a policeman finally arrived he said "Well, there was a disco last night, and it was raining". The amazing thing was later that morning we were visiting a friend who lived 9 miles away from where the car was taken and the car slowed down to allow us to cross the road! It was found abandoned very soon afterwards, a couple of miles away. All the junk was gone from inside, boot and glove compartment, the only thing worth nicking was a mini socket set and they'd left that for some strange reason. We sold the car not long afterwards.

Some from my Tamron which I was using before I got the Sigma 150-500. The last one provides an example of the messy bokeh it can produce at times. While the first two show it is perfectly suitable on many occasions
Wow, not much else to say really, where were they taken Alan?

Actually - the thread has made me think quite a lot about photography as art - I do find I like all the pics posted, including Lloyds 'constructs'. Print them large, hang them in the right place with the right lighting and they might work. I might actually give it a go.

When you see what passes for "Art" these days I believe you are right, that woman (her name escapes me)who won a prize for a dirty bed must have laughed all the way to the bank

Just spent a sweaty couple of minutes updating the firmware in a *ist DL2 Everything went as it should and can now use high capacity sd cards It's a nice feeling when the "COMPLETE" message shows on the LCD, rather like recovering from Man Flu.

I can't read music and play at the same time so I memorise the main bits and usually it doesn't sound too bad on the keyboard, bearing in mind I wear two hearing aids, but not while I'm playing

love to hear a twiddle on the fiddle by a virtuoso will put my ears on for that

That'll be Northumbrian pipes you'll be referring to then?
Any type of bagpipes I've just remembered another "instrument" of torture which probably ties, or slightly surpasses, the pipes, the Recorder

Lack of skill. Definitely one of the reasons I don't want spend mega bucks on lenses. It's a hobby, I don't want it to become a chore.

I've found having a hotmail spam collecting address handy when visiting a site where they want you to register before you can go further. I log into it once a month and empty the inbox ready for the next lot

Found some of the images disturbing, some I'd hang on my wall, some I really liked, and some didn't like at all. Well put together, shows great imagination and skill.
