Mmmmm ! Spent more time scrambling up the cliffs in search of fossils older than me !
Most of the photos are of the fancy dress party - and you certainly wouldn`t want to see those !!!

Quite - and nowhere did I suggest you did - I refer to my earlier comment Pentaxophile made about simplicity - we ( I ) don`t need anything else - the site is the members !

As I said to John earlier - I`m here because I like the people, the cameras, the fun,the information and the intercourse ( steady HG )and the day it becomes like the homepage of MSN or Virgin Media or any other youth led garbage site I shall depart quietly back to my anonymity and my hobbies.

Agreed - and because you are not burning up film - PLAY with it - all the dials and all the programmes and everything - just use it and become familiar with it.I remember reading my manual twice over and going to an airshow - could I remember how to change the ISO or use the timer delay ? - no I bl**dy couldn`t.......................can now though !!

Enjoy - it is a great piece of kit - as are all the Pentax cameras I have ever owned ( and still have ).

Sorry to disagree but I bought a perfectly serviceable monopod from 7Dayshop.com as mentioned in an earlier thread for less than £10 including zip cover and walking stick top.
It holds the camera steady whilst I am out walking .......I really see no point in paying a fortune for a glorified version of the same thing ( mainly `cos I can`t afford to ! ).

It is a nice balance with the K20 when closed up and the three section leg is perfect for my height.
Far better than struggling along with a big heavy tripod - mine`s a Benbo Trekker circa 1992 and handy for the boot of the car.
