Agreed - and because you are not burning up film - PLAY with it - all the dials and all the programmes and everything - just use it and become familiar with it.I remember reading my manual twice over and going to an airshow - could I remember how to change the ISO or use the timer delay ? - no I bl**dy couldn`t.......................can now though !!
Enjoy - it is a great piece of kit - as are all the Pentax cameras I have ever owned ( and still have ).

thanks for the advice so far been out to day for a play very impressed with it lovely colour,s cant take anymore today as the guy i had the camera of as got a k7 and has sent me the k7 charger and my battery is now flat

Maybe a little late, but I would have suggested a reset to put all functions back to default and then you can work foward from there. Also, check you have the latest firmware.
