Sounds great Gwyn - been overcast and drizzly here all day but hardly wintry - we seem to be getting through quite well - he said tempting fate !!
We have just agreed on a great cottage near Wadebridge,N.Cornwall for a week with the two munchkins and their mommies in June - 2 mins from the beach and the sun sets right in front of the house.Metal detector and fishing rods will be going and I now have something to focus on for the year !
First tests for the new medication on Tuesday - we shall see if anything is occurin` - also my infusion to keep the bones strong.Maybe a month is too soon but I can hope eh ?
New PC hopefully arrives this week too as does Joclick`s birthday - 10-01-45 - doesn`t look it or feel it !!

Also I noticed a trail for a new programme coming soon - David Bailey and "The Shrimp" - they were in Manhattan and I`m pretty certain he was using a Pentax - I could make out the AOC on the pentaprism housing - I will watch the programme and find out.

I`m going to cook the dinner now - not sure if we are having well hung steak or roast chicken or honey baked ham - depends on Jo`s tummy when she gets out of the bath !! She is still a bit queasy after the Norovirus episode on Tues/Weds in Emma`s.
Nice bottle of Cava on ice though - that`ll help ! And I`ve got some Fabuloso Spanish Solera brandy to round the evening off - I must be getting better........

Afternoon all - back safely from the deep south ( E.Sussex ) good trip down and back.The funeral was very moving on Friday and I was holding up well until his eldest son called me his "bezzie mate" and I lost it a little ! Still can`t believe he`s gone.
The hotel was excellent - we had b/b - and the turkey we got from the local butcher one of the best I have ever cooked.I prepped most of the lunch on the Saturday evening to save time Christmas day and it was indistinguishable from doing it a la minute.The munchkins were extatic and we spread the prezzies over three days to stagger the excitement as Saffy had a birthday on the 28th (2).Weather clement,alcohol limited,tv almost non existent and company great.Only spoiled by an outbreak of barfing and botty action on the Tuesday night for me,Jo and Emma delaying our return until Thursday.I got lots of useful gifts including thermals,knickers,socks,polo neck sweaters and Blue Stilton cheese.My sister bought us a vinyl and cassette converter to put all our old music on to pc and cd - nice.........
Glad too see all are well , hi Oggy , hope the fence gets sorted TT , hope the head gets better HG.................

Happy ( and Healthy ) New Year to you all - I`m up to the loft to get all the vinyl and cassettes down !!

Cyril has NEVER pooped as far as I can tell - he occasionally wees if he gets excited !! The pigeons are a bit "colourful" during the cherry season !!! I never could understand the not cleaning up after a dog attitude - especially in a public area - at least when we were kids and there was no such thing as Sheba or Iams , dog muck was chalky and solid and easily removed or avoided.
Sadly the world WE have allowed to evolve means that there is little or no responsibility taught to the youngsters so littering of all kinds has become prevalent - don`t get me started.........................

I too have never understood this "humanising" of any animal - cruelty NO but wasting money that could be spent on kids,old or homeless just makes no sense at all.

Chris - it sounds like my experience with a certain well known cancer nursing charity - my wife Jo rang to ask about support for herself at a difficult time and was told that "because your husband is being treated privately we cannot help you" !!!! I have emailed them twice to register my dissatisfaction but after 4 months to no avail.
We have had very bad reports about RSPCA in our area - hounding "eccentric" people who were doing no harm and feeding homeless cats - having the animals removed and the people fined ?? Why the police are involved I have yet to work out but it`s obviously better to be a criminal these days.
