I have just been bowled over by the most poignant and revealing picture I have seen in a long time - Daily Telegraph Sports section today 09/02/10 - by Cathal McNaughton, of the fallen hero to many - Alex - Hurricane - Higgins.
It will be on the Telegraph website as well I imagine - but I have to say how much I am moved by this portrait of a once great man, ravaged by cancer and drink.
Brilliant photo

update from the Met - my girl is using Nokin D40s on the practical part of the course this week - they were sent out this afternoon to get experience of manual settings - only prob was they had "doctored" the cameras with an exposure comp of +5 and bu**ered her white balance ( her words ).
Not a very good work return for the day !! Oh well - I suppose that`s part of learning !

Both Emma & her partner Jane are overjoyed and methinks there is one very lucky little lady with a great future.

I take your point though and am glad I never pass on anything more detailed than that which can be found from the phonebook, electoral register or profiles on Friend`s Reunited,Facebook etc.Certainly seems spooky when one gives out a postcode over the phone and all but one`s inside leg measurement seem to be available to the caller !
One reason sadly why my daughter`s newly adopted daughter will never be seen online however good I think the photos are !

My wife is very upset by the article and the photo - there is no way I will let her see the video based on my short viewing.
He is 4 years my junior and my cancer is prostate and under control,so I can only wish him well in his attempt to rebuild his life somewhat - sadly the Guinness and the smoking do not bode well for him.
