Whoops! Still learning my way around Zenfolio (and one of those rare occassions I've had a pass out for the evening.) Authorisation problem now fixed, photo's should display on original post.

Went for a walk with the kids, who complained of cold feet after only an hour (what's wrong with them - we spent all day in the snow when I was a kid!)

First was my 55mm/1.8 ebay find, stopped down to 5.6 and the other two are the Sigma 10-20 @ 10 and 18mm respectively.

Well that explains why mine isn't selling yet! Mind you, I've ordered 3 "bargains" off of Park in the past (16-45, grip and something else I can't remember) and none of them materialised - all out-of-stock. Go for it people and if someone could nudge me when they're all gone I'll re-list mine, thankyou...

I'm trying out zenfolio at the moment as well. It does seem to do the job very well and easily, and looks good. 12mb limit. The trial is only 14 days though and as they've got a major upgrade penned in for 5th Jan, you may want to wait for that.

I wouldn't want our overseas colleagues to get the impression this kind of interference with photographers is happening all the time in the UK.
PS Bear in mind that terrorism does happen and we wouldn't thank our police for failing to act on their suspicions and allowed lives to be lost in an attack.
That's a valid point, BUT the concern is that the connection is both tenuous and open to abuse. I mean, who is going to stand up and say they don't believe in measures to stop terrorism? We need checks and balances and PROPER use of REASONABLE and NECESSARY powers. Otherwise we drift towards a police state... (IMHO)

I trialled Lightroom 2.5 and love it, but I'm sticking with Bridge until LR v3 comes out (I found the beta too temperamental to trust for the moment.) These upgrade costs - 2.5 to 2.6 - don't seem in line with the extra functionality.

OK, it seems you're all waiting (it's Christmas - he needs the cash!) for the price to drop. So, as it's the season of goodwill this is now £380 INCLUDING postage in the UK.

If anyone is concerned about the reason for sale, please rest assured this lens is in immaculate condition and works fine. I just don't see the need for it with a Sigma 10-20mm sitting alongside. If you're also concerned about trading for a large sum, then I can provide references from the forum for recent sales/buys/swaps.

As a rule I'm not inclined to laugh out loud, but this got me going! Thanks for sharing

To be honest with you, if some cocky git with a Hitler complex, half my age, chewing gum and looking smug asked me what I was doing, my first reaction would be to tell him where to go! Aren't Police Officers (and I assume PCSOs) public servants? In other words there to serve the public? Don't get me wrong, I have huge respect for all of these people working in the public sector and bringing value to society (as opposed to what I do in IT!), but I do feel that there are lines that MUST not be crossed.

I remember a particular scene in Catch-22 where someone in trouble shouts "Police! Police!" and our hero Yosarain suddenly realises its not a cry for help, but a warning...
