In response to queries I have had regarding the "roughness", there is no issue with focussing as it is in the zoom. And even there it doesn't actually present any resistance. I felt I needed to mention this, but in reality it has no effect on the use of the lens. However, in my view it stops it being mint.

This lens is in very good condition, but can be noisy when focussing. (Note this is not the recent APO version). Price £35 including UK postage.

I have for sale the Samsung-branded version of the highly-rated 12-24mm ultra-wide angle, which I am selling to help fund my K5. As can be seen from the photographs, this is in very good condition. However, there is one niggle, which is a slight "roughness" to the zoom ring feel in the action at either end. I can't recall this on an earlier version of the lens I owned, but it may well be within normal tolerances? This has no effect on the optical performance or operation of the lens. For sample images (which you can download) please use this link.

I am asking for £400 including UK postage, which takes into account the niggle mentioned above and the lack of original box - I am prepared to offer full-refund including return postage if my description is not accurate.

I also have a Hoya pro filter that fits this lens for an additional £20.

Don

I agree with Jon - start with a preset; either one that is bundled or downloaded (google will come up with loads). The improvement in contrast helps. For this subject, you may also want to look at a toned B&W - the "Antique Grayscale" I always find quite nice, or just play with the split toning sliders and yellow for a sepia type effect. And lastly a touch of vignette to darken the corners and focus on the girl?

Cheers

I have the 234RC and find it very good. You can only move in one plane, but it allows you to plant your monopod forwards of you with your legs splayed to form a tripod shape and then adjust the head to get the right angle.

Just got a 21mm da ltd for £250 off ebay to go alongside my 40mm da ltd. These are simply superb lenses and whilst I have a 16-45mm da and 50-135mm *, I would not dream of selling them. You know it makes sense.

...and clearly the spam programme has picked up on "Sex" in the post title. Perhaps mods could replace "Sex" with "Hot Chocolate" in future - I think most of us will still understand...
