Lou Reed. Dead. Hard to imagine that he created some of the most shocking and beautiful music all that time ago - think I'll have a glass of red wine and put on the "Banana" record, vinyl of course.

RIP

I'm with Pentaxophile/Andrewk. Have you tried pulling back a bit - less burn-out and a bit more detail? I prefer B&W, but keep the whites white, not grey as in the first one! Also, I would have a symmetrical crop on the first two - horse centre. If you pull back the exposure then a vignette going to white in the corners could have the same effect washing out the background?

Do you have the original box and was this from the batch that our long-lost friend aminstar acquired?

Sold!

I have for sale the "full" version of this lens (i.e. metal mount, quick-shift etc.), which I bought from SRS on 21 June 2013 [ http://www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk/109/Pentax-smc-DA-55-300mm-f4-0-5-8-ED-Lens.htm... ]. I have found that I simply don't need the length and so it is up for sale. Please note that Chris at SRS will honour warranty for inter-forum sales, so that means this still has 20 months warranty to run (just drop him an email with the details).

It really is in as-new condition and the handful of times I've used it it has had a protective filter on, which is included in the sale. As with all my sales, if not as described then I will refund all costs. Price is £220 including UK delivery - I will supply the original receipt with the lens.

Sold!

I have for sale the slim version of the 40mm launched with the K-01. It is in excellent condition and is just over a year old (the unforgiving camera eye has as usual picked up every tiny bit of dust on the body, but I can confirm it is unmarked as is the glass). Included in the sale are the following:

- lens with rubber front cap and rear cap
- spare "clip-on" cap
- soft pouch for storage/transport (old Vivitar filter pouch that works a treat!)
- Hoya Circular Polarising filter
- step up ring to use 52mm filters

The cost for the lot is £140 including UK delivery. As always, if not as described I will refund all costs in full.

Nice lens - bump!

I tend to use auto ISO, so don't want the camera deciding which other parameter to change - although it would probably open the aperture before increasing speed so what you suggest would probably work in practice. (I started photography with an Olympus OM10 which I always used in Av mode - old habits die hard ) Of course, having the wonderful TAv mode on the compact would be even better!!
