I do a calendar each year to give to friends and relatives, but also make it available to others at cost. This year I have done 2 calendars as you can read in my blog post

Edit: link is NSFW, but you could probably have guessed that

I'm thinking of producing a new website for my images, and was thinking that Wordpress was the best platform.
Can anybody suggest good website hosting companies, and if not Wordpress what other platform to produce a website?

I set the camera to manual, point the camera at a general part of the scene and press the green button, and take a test shot. I then look at the histogram, adjust as necessary and take another test shot.

Everybody should find their own way of working. I acknowledge that my method would not work in many other situations, but it works for me with my type of photography, and I'm happy with how the images turn out )

I joined a camera club and it got me to where I am today, however there are poor clubs so you need to choose wisely and be willing to try another if the first one or so doesn't suit.

So are any of these super locations suggested suitable for my type of 'discreet' photography?
If not does anybody have any other suggestions?

Apologies for the slight thread hijack Dave
Sorry Tim I can't think of anywhere in the Lakes 'discreet' enough for you. It's a place where there is always people wandering everywhere.
Ah but Barrie, the model and I are invisible as far as the public concerned. Many of these are all great suggestions for me as well

Right wonderful peoples, I really really really do need to know how much difference there is in image quality and focussing accuracy (especially in low light) between my well used K5 and the new K5 IIs?

I have a long trip around Scotland in September during which I hope to produce some images for an RPS distinction I shall be going for early next year. Option A is to go with my trusty K5 from which I have produced many great images, option B is hire a K5 IIs for my trip (cost £150) and wait for the K5II replacement whenever it comes, or option C buy a K5 IIs (which has gone down £24 at SRS during the last week!).

Now I am rubbish at decisions, especially when I don't have a huge amount of information to base my decision on. So are there any lovely people within 50 miles of Birmingham with a K5IIs who would let me visit them and fire a few shots to do a comparison with my K5?

I will admit to being a one-trick pony, as i only shoot one type of image, but by shooting one subject it does concentrate the mind and you improve more rapidly than you would by shooting many genres.

While most of you drive to a shoot wondering what you will take pictures of that day, I know exactly what I will be taking pictures of as she is sitting in the passenger seat next to me, and it's just a matter of finding some good light and a background!
