Hello all

I am off to stay in Keswick soon for a few days.

Any inspirational ideas for photo shoots in that area?

Thanks

Dave

Whinlatter Forest is nearby, a very good spot, especially if you've got overcast or misty conditions. Its a great place to visit with good facilities at the car parks for before or after your walking.

I would state the obvious answer which is keep going until you get to Scotland , but the very top of Thirlmere and Stair wood is a good spot. The narrow snaking of the loch often looks good, especially if you get the right light.

Bit of a hike though but only 5 miles. You could walk there and be greeted by the mere as you reach the top of the hill.

I'm not sure if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs here. But Friars Crag and Calf bay, Surprise View, Ashness Bridge, Lodore Falls, Newlands Valley, Buttermere, Grange. How long have you got!!

WE have about a week there. I am normally racing to get up the fells away from the hoards. As the schools are back I would like to take some more leisurely strolls.

Some good suggestions so far...thanks

I'm also visiting the Lake District shortly - after visiting wonderful Scotland for a week Gareth - but I shall have a certain red-headed woman with me and I'll be taking pictures of her
So are any of these super locations suggested suitable for my type of 'discreet' photography?
If not does anybody have any other suggestions?

Apologies for the slight thread hijack Dave

It it's almost flat walks your after you have a walk around Derwentwater about 10 miles, but I cheat and catch the launch between Nichol End and Keswick, because I think that bits boring.

They have turned the railway track between Keswick and Threlkeld into quite a good walk.

A bit further away and shorter walk is. From Ellterwater village to Loughrigg Tarn, Skelworth Bridge(Coffee Shop) and back to the village

Sorry Tim I can't think of anywhere in the Lakes 'discreet' enough for you. It's a place where there is always people wandering everywhere.

Ah but Barrie, the model and I are invisible as far as the public concerned. Many of these are all great suggestions for me as well
