Would love to help but as someone who has an almost permanent lean to the left I am not sure I should even attempt to suggest anything. I am sure if you think the shot is upright then it is and perhaps because of my problem I expect to see the horizon running up from left to right, ignore me.

It is mostly DOF, they are growing in pots in the yard, 2 of them(2 & 3) I darkened the background in PS as a layer and then masked the bloom and knocked back to the original shot, number one is straight from the camera with a little cropping and no other changes, number 3 has had some additional background added at the top, I now think too much, Don't tink I did anything to number 4 but can't remember.

Edit: forgot to say it is just daylight no flash or lighting.

So good to see the first flowers appearing and we also had a little sun this week to help with the lighting I love your crocus and the primrose, I seem to have done nothing but shoot crocus myself this last week and it is great to see someone else’s take on the subject

Love the composition of the first shot I am amazed at the close-up shot of the flamingos feathers colour is so vibrant and the focus looks spot on to me. That could be read wrong I am not surprised at your skills but amazed at the beauty of the shot.

Not really qualified to make technical comment but the water seems to be running up hill to me too. Love the sky in the first shot.

This is not my first post but the first time I have dared to upload my shots, having lurked and read I thought it was time I bit the bullet and got some help, advice always welcome
