Thanks will check out your suggestions and search out the plastic although they seem very reasonable compared with what I paid for the Petax one that I am unable to use should have asked or looked at one first.

Although I own a Pentax remote control F for use with my K20D, I am unable to use it because the button is too small and set below the level of the case. Because my fingers are not that able I need a remote release that has a large button and if possible not set below the surface of casing, is there such an item available, if so who makes it and where is it available from. Many thanks.

OK, thanks, thought that was what I did yesterday but I will try again.

Sure I am very stupid but I can't work out how to add items to my personal gallery, I must have managed it once as there is one photo but I can see how I can add any more.

Sorry for being so dum

Oh dear, I like the B&W best although I like the colour too, think the B&W gives a tad more clarity and brings more emphasis to the dog, less to the couch. You may get to know I have a big thing about dogs particularly mine.

Thank you all for your very kind comments, I would put them in my gallery but although I must have done it once I can't work out how to do it now. Did try yesterday but think I finished up by inadvertently entering a competition. Sorry to who ever has to sort the entry it was unintentional.

I would be proud to have taken these shots, very well done particularly if you are just setting out to learn your trade, mind you it seems to be something you continue for as long and you pick up a camera.

The conditions have to be so the point where land touches water at at least two points is clear enough to be used, it does not matter what the land is doing, the point where it enters the water will be the same regardless of the land.

Of course if the water is very rough you can't tell but with flat or small ripples you can, well I think you can. However a shot should please the person who took it so that should be the main criteria, if the photographer is happy then that is fine.

In the absents of water I try to find something that should be either vertical or horizontal and make sure it is, suppose I am a past master as most of my shots are askew.

Don't think that the shoreline need be used as an acceptable horizontal line but would have thought the water has to be, water is surely always level. Agree that sometimes it is not possible to see the surface of the water but if it is then it is an easy way to check the shot is level.
