I definitely want to go now!! Where would be the best place for a 70-300, any tips, and best places to stay for a week(end)?

The Seafire, surprisingly, has a shutter speed of 1/500th sec, at F8, with the Tamron 70-300 F4-5.6, at 300mm, but was much lower and closer than other prop planes, so I wonder if that helped?
The helicopters were shot with a shutter speed of 1/180th sec, at 300mm too. I do agree that the helicopters were easier, and through their display, because their display was longer and I was able to get a few shots away before, and change the shutter speed around.

I did try to slow my shutter down a little, Chris, but panning with the planes at that speed was too difficult, but I suppose its just practice though! Thanks everyone for the great comments

Thanks John!! Hopefully getting more practice by travelling to the Mach Loop in Wales sometime in the near future. Fast jet at 250ft sounds great to me!!
