This morning a received a new to me lens. A Tamron 18 - 250. Which is perfect for the walkabout photography I require it for. Eager to try it out I went into my local town to try it out. All was fine. Pleased with the purchase as it was very little money.. Except that the lens has a knack to lens creep when not in a horizontal position. Is this something I just have to accept.. Or can something be done about it..?
Here's a hand held panorama I took with it on a K-7..Comment Image

"So I can cancel my £13/month BBC TV licence and use that tax/robbery for insurance. Been wanting to stop paying BBC for ages.."

Actually you can't, as your using a monitor and computer equipment. Which needs to be covered by a TV licence.

The simple solution to this. Is to put the K3 in "X" mode or manual. Mount the Yongnuo flash on the K3. You say that the Godox units have built in receivers. But you have nothing to trigger them with. So you can only fire them in optical mode. So make sure this is enabled. Then all will work fine in a basic manual mode. (The best mode to use in my opinion.) I'm not familiar with your model of lights. And cannot find it on the Godox UK site. But the next upgrade to look at is a radio trigger for the lights. The xpro will combine well with the Pentax camera. But will not trigger the Yongnuo so this woould have to remain in optical mode. A light meter isnt essential. As the lights can be manually set by eye, But as Peter suggested. They are very handy and certainly speed up any set up needs. Especially in a studio. you dont want to keep any models waiting.

Internal flash isnt very strong. Could be the Godox units optical sensor isnt picking up the flash. Try using a full power on camera flash. Or better still purchase flash triggers.

Went the same route myself. Some years ago now. From a K5ii to the K1, I have purchased the DFA lenses and the results match anything on the market, You just fall in love with this camera. Once you get used to the weight. The K5 becomes for emergency work only.. Or wildlife, When long reach is the priority,,

Hi All..
Im looking for ideas or inspiration. I am currently using a K5II. But after many years of perfect usage. I now cant get it to recognise most of my lenses. Pentax or third party. I suspect a misalignment of the mounting ring. As after trying to attach many lenses many times, and Just getting the F-- symbol for the aperture setting. and not being able to auto focus. I attached my 16-45 lens and now all is fine. But im now scared to take it off in case the problem reoccurs. Is there any way to test a camera mounting plate for imbalance. or will it have to be professionally exchanged ?
