Light triggered studio flash is off-sync???

Somebody help me... About to throw my K3 out of the window..

Bought two Godox Mini Pioneer studio flashlights. They have built flashtriggers (meaning they fire when they "see" another flashlight). Want to use them in studio with full manual settings

Just testing them I push up the K3 internal flash and when it fires I can see the studio lights flash as well.

But looking at the photos I can see they have not been firing when picture was shot.

I have tried X, P, M and all possible flash settings and very long exposure times too. But no difference - only once with a way to long exposure time I could see the flash firing at the photo.

Really driving me nuts!

Am I overlooking something obvious?

Took a slow motion video revealing that the internal flash fires twice.

Camera is in manual and flash should be "as simple as possible" (the leftmost setting in the camera menu, no red eye reduction etc.).

Can that be avoided anyhow?

The very short Godox manual says that "a red thing" on top of the lamp should be "Optical control and Anti-preflash Switch" with no further explanation. I can't find any moving parts there so I doubt it is a (manual) switch....

Put the camera flash mode to M (manual), and dial in the output you require. Range is Full power down to 1/128 power.

Internal flash isnt very strong. Could be the Godox units optical sensor isnt picking up the flash. Try using a full power on camera flash. Or better still purchase flash triggers.
