It could be a sparrowhawk they are about round there I think, I'll take a look on RSPB identifier
Edit: Yes it would fit the description and images spot on, Sparrowhawk it is then, unless anyone else knows better.

I was at Carsington, nothing close enough to get a decent shot with the 100-300 with 1.4TC. Just about to pack up when I saw this Kestrel land on this post. Quietly opened the hide window and managed to get a few frames before it shot off.

Where can I get some extension tubes for my K20d?
I have looked on SRS and googled and found not a lot. Amazon had some at around £7 and another set at over £800. I was kind of thinkingin between these 2 extremes. Don't kenko make a decent set?

Well, they have my 16-50 now for 3 weeks, I have finally had an estimate for repair emailed today. No explanation of what is wrong with it which I would have expected.
If I order the repair I now wonder how long that will take?

I would be interested in a review of Tatra as well as Im interestec in a few workshops this year and have been considering Tatra.
I have a wildlife grouse shoot booked and a dragonfly workshop to try later in the year.

Yeh, fair enough. I kind of like the old look of it but your right it is overdone, I was trying to salvage something from a bad image.

Ive been wondering about getting a 1.7 or 2 x TC.
I know I will lose some more light but how much IQ will I lose?
I also note that the Sigma TC is significamtly dearer than the Kenko, any opinions either way on this?
