I regularly shoot with a canon 500d user, Bretbysteve, and I'm sorry but navigating around my K-7 is far easier than it!

The 18-250 will get used, on holiday so keep it. If you can get hold of the 50-500 then do it as the extra range means less to carry. With the 50-500 you only need a DA*16-50 and a decent macro lens (and a set of tubes) and you've got everything covered, pretty much.

Lose the TC and replace with tubes, that way there is no extra glass to muddy the image
