I picked up a couple of AF500ftz flashes recently on ebay for £50 ish each. Very adjustable and can be used as slaves too.

One of the reasons I am a Pentaxian and didn't opt for Canon or Nikon is the WR capabilities.
Having recently had a thoroughly soaking wet day shooting at the Elan valley with Dangermouse, Crossed-Up and Cardiff_Gareth I can actually agree with what JR says and state that a soaking wet landscape produces some stunning colours and my karting pictures look totally different in the wet including some great opportunities for spectacular rooster tails.

I tend to buy it and leave it lying around. Once its been here a few weeks and she mentions it I use the old trick women have been using for centuries... Oh that? No it's not new, I've had it ages.

Couldn't do that with the Bigma though it's a bit, how shall I say, obvious
We did talk about that one first though

The fabled moire has at last shown up.
This is the broken bridge on the M180 (or was it the A180?) on the way to Grimsby. Still glad I got the IIs though.

Works a treat for macro, I sometimes use a 50mm f1.7 on tubes and almost always use CIF.
I don't think it would be so good for birds unless they were flying across rather than towards.
However these were all taken with a Sigma 600 mirror using CIF so great for larger targets.
