You're not kidding Andrew, I am on the look out for a Pentax A 28mm. Last year they were going for around £20 but you can't get one for less than £50 now... boo

Keep your eyes peeled for a set of Jessops tubes as these have the contacts you need. I use a set and a Pentax A 50mm f1.7 but you can get some cheap lenses if you steer clear of Pentax branded ones, I once had a manual Chinon 50mm f1.9 and this gave surprisingly good results. As long as it is not wider you should be OK

When using the tripod make sure shake reduction is off

Don't panic Mark, get onto SRS link and oder some of these, very easy to use.

Remember that when using Live View and "zooming in" you are actually magnifying the image digitally not zooming optically so the viewed image will be pixelated, but it will allow you to get better focus especially if used on a tripod.
