Orange Bug

Maybe Charlotte can identify it correctly (please )

It was on the wife's spent lavender and as soon as I wen anywhere near it with the camera it would hide behind the lavender. So I chased it back to the side I needed it to be by wiggling my finger near it.
I managed to get this one at f11 to try to get enough light in using the DOI ring flash toned down a little.

Pentax A 50mm f1.7 on 99mm of tubes.

I'm not sure without being able to see the markings on it's back Steve, but I think it might be a Lygaelus equestris, a Harlequin bug (not to be confused with the harlequin ladybird).

Here is another of the same bug, he/she is very shy and keeps hiding around the back of the plant.

I think it is a Rhopalid Bug?

The technical name is a 'Long black legged, black spotted, hairy orange bug, with enormous eyes, thing'
