As for the weight, I did a shoot with some friends on the last nice hot day we had in October. Walked a fair few miles with it on my back and it wasn't uncomfortable, it does have a very nice stretchy handle which makes for a more comfortable carry.
The leg locks are great, making it very flexible. In one situation I had two legs at different heights over a cliff on a ledge while the third leg was on the path I was standing on (although I did put my bag on it just in case) to get this shot link, any higher with the camera and the bushes were in the way, used the IR remote.

I recently became the proud owner of a Redsnapper too. I was initially skeptical, I mean surely £58 including head it can't be very good? But boy was I surprised, it is awesome. Go for it, you will not be disappointed.

Oh bugger, I have a Pz-AF 2X TELEPLUS MC7 and the motor whirs but overshoots the focus and never finds focus. Do you think I have a duff one? It also used to stutter its way to focus with a screw drive AF lens.

I have just come into the possession of a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and am wondering what TC I should get. Sigma offer 2 of them a 1.4x and a 2x.
What are the pros and cons of each?

longer lenses, a more accurate auto focus that will work in almost total darkness. a choice of bodies for eack model including one that doesn't have video, why should i pay for something i don't want, need or will ever use!

My K-7 does a similar thing if I have all the corrections on in the menu. Lateral CA and Lens correction seem to take a while to complete. Try setting your camera back to default to check.
