I'm sure you'll come up with interesting ideas - funny, deep, strange, aesthetic, surprising... I already like the first

A creative image - worth the effort.

A fine portrait. Your use of flash is just right for me - nothing all-out, just getting the best respectful portrait lighting.

I'm definitely looking at the one with the children - subdued yet strong!

Beautiful set Bill, as usual. As said by others, the attention to detail, the colour palette, the feel of the place are all spot on. I do like them all, but will mention those that grab me more:

1 is graphically mesmerizing thanks to that blue corner inviting us outward.
3 evokes feelings of sheer loneliness, and of awe before what I can try to describe as 'emptiness-filled emptiness',
5 might be the 'cutest' of the set, yet that cuteness speaks strongly of life (I remember a geologist saying that, although we find it difficult to understand, the mineral world is alive - even beyond the obviousness of volcanoes, for example - rocks get compressed together, they get disintegrated to small particles of sand... over very long periods, yes, but still).
I really like 6, for how much you have expressed with such a limited colour palette (and the blue sky seems to be pointing that out), and for the scythe shaped shadow which gives its dynamics to the image.
8 is in the cuteness category again, as I immediately saw some kind of alligatoresque creature lurking in the snow (its eyes and nose the clumps of grass). Can't unsee that now...
14 is pure abstraction, yet somehow hints at something familiar, a coastal region viewed from on high perhaps? Really grand.
Great stuff at the end too - 18 is so beautifully framed, and contrasts with the strangeness emanating from the last two.

I really appreciate how you transmit sensation through your art.

Bill, I am glad you're liking the series and finding so much in them. Thanks for your encouraging thoughts.
Lenny, thanks for hanging in there and letting them grow on you.
Peter, yes, I think they work best as a collection indeed - I'll be trying to put them together in a meaningful way. If by 'framing' you mean the white border, that is how I print all my images, so I do the same when putting them up on the web - I prefer they be seen on a white background.

Grand skies indeed, John. The stark minimalism and tiny humans of the first three work wonderfully. Of the cloudy images, I prefer #4, especially as the diagonal light seems to mirror the water in #3 just above.

Thank you for your thoughts Raza, Andy and Lubbyman.

Andy - #4 does look a bit out of place here, it fits in better with the darker images I posted earlier. I did wonder if I went a bit OTT with it though - printing will tell me whether I did or not...

Lubbyman, I'd say it's difficult to be 'wrong' in matters of taste As a matter of fact, I did go through several tentative crops on 2 & 3 (looking for a bit more 'purity' in the composition) but that was not my first intention when taking the images, and I wasn't convinced in PP - the breathing room got lost. For my taste, of course!

That's quite nice of you, thanks.

Ah yes, of course, quite obvious now

I do like them My preferences: 5 & 10, the first majestic, the second more intimate, both very evocative; 8 for the simplicity of the scene, and the delicacy of the the drops closing the frame at the top. I'd love to take a walk around there!
