FA*24 provisionally sold.

I'm still looking for a DA15 if anyone's got one they'd like to swap. In addition to the above lenses, I've also got the following that I'd be happy to offer any/some of in part exchange:

- Some wide-ish K series primes (24/2.8 and 35/3.5)
- a Komine made Vivitar 28mm f/2
- a Komine made Vivitar 24mm f/2
- a Komine made Vivitar 90mm f/2.8 PK mount macro lens
- A Super Takumar 85/1.9
- A Sigma 50mm EX AF macro lens.

A recent city trip and a bit of playing with my 12-24 has cemented my decisiton that the compact size of the DA15 suits my needs better than the width of the 12-24.

Has anyone got a DA15 that they would be prepared to swap for one of the following (+/- cash adjustment as necessary)?

- Samsung 12-24 (boxed in excellent condition)
- DA70 limited (also boxed and in excellent condition)
- FA*24 f/2 (also boxed and in excellent condition)

Don't bother. unless you want to protect it.
+1 - if you want to protect it, a hood might be worth considering as an alternative, as it will give you a reasonable amount of protection and is likely to improve IQ in many conditions.

Don't really understand this Dave. I post on FOUR Pentax forums and two none-brand specific forums, some more than others (as some are more active than others) but I check them all regularly for interesting threads or threads where I may be able to offer what I consider to be a valid opinion.

There's nothing wrong with being a member of more than one social club, they are not exclusive. Why not just cherry-pick the threads you like as there will always be some !

+3 - Well said.

I think it's always a shame when an active and long-standing member feels that they have to leave the forum, but I'm not sure that these 'goodbye' threads, expressing a non-specific grievance, serve a constructive purpose or really help anyone, including the OP.

To scan negatives and slides on a flatbed scanner it needs to have an Illuminated Hood and some dedicated carriers.
Ah, that would be why my first efforts at scanning my 645 negatives on a cheap multifunction printer/scanner didn't work too well either.

I don't think any of the scanning guides I read mentioned that the negatives need to be backlit.

I'll look out for a proper film scanner...

my two cheap-ass polarizers didn't give a great result
Fair enough - I've got two of similar provenance to yours, so will look out for a proper ND filter instead!
