I've had both the Sigma 24-70 and Pentax 35-70.

The Sigma isn't bad, and I find the focal range is quite good for an outdoor walkaround lens, as 24mm is moderately wide on the Pentax APS-C sensors and 70mm is usefully longer than the kit lens.

Optically, the Pentax is a better lens, but it is very good. In practice, I found the Sigma perfectly acceptable IQ-wise.

If you want a light weight lens that covers a range of slightly longer focal lengths than the kit lens and it's cheap (in the ballpark of £30) it's worth a look. Otherwise, I'd look for something else.

I'm having a clear out of some of my lenses to make space and raise funds for my next round of LBA.

For sale is my Vivitar 19mm f/3.8 prime lens. I've had it for 18 months or so, with a view to trying ultrawide on film and with other recent projects I'm not sure I'll get around to it any time soon!. From the research I've done, I believe it was made by Cosina (who also make Voigtlander and Zeiss lenses).

It's in very good condition, as shown in the pictures. The optics are in good shape, with no scratches, marks or fungus (but one or two specks of internal dust - normal for a lens of the age and nothing that would affect the pictures).

It is supplied with the original hood and front/rear caps. Although I don't normally use them, I'd be happy to include a UV filter as well if you'd like one. It is a PK/A-R mount, although it has a rounded Ricoh pin, so I have had no trouble mounting it on my K-5 and K200. I'm happy to remove the Ricoh pin for any potential buyers who are concerned about it.

Looking at the going rate on eBay, I think that £70 delivered within the UK is reasonable and I'd be happy to investigate postage options to send it further afield if required. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal (with the buyer covering the fees) please.

That's superb!

I normally use the slightly more mundane approach of playing along until they find out that the nearest gas main to our house is about a mile away!

I'm having a clear out of some of my lenses to make space and raise funds for my next round of LBA.

For sale is my Sigma 28-105mm f/4-5.6 lens. I've had it for a year or so and found it makes a good, lightweight outdoor walkabout lens.

It's in good condition, as shown in the pictures. The optics are in good shape, with no scratches, marks or fungus (but one or two specks of internal dust - normal for a lens of the age and nothing that would affect the pictures).

It is supplied with the original front/rear caps. Although I don't normally use them, I'd be happy to include a UV filter as well if you'd like one.

Looking at the going rate on eBay, I think that £45 delivered within the UK is reasonable and I'd be happy to investigate postage options to send it further afield if required. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal (with the buyer covering the fees) please.
