Samsung provide a lot of products to Sony including digicams, LCD and plasma TV's. They may have considerable influence over Sony.

This ebay seller has quite a few new in box Pentax lenses, including 100-300 and 80-320. The prices are not bad considering they are allegedly new lenses. They may be of interest to someone. As ever, I have no connection to the goods, the seller, caveat emptor etc.

I hope the 10mp model is worth the wait.

I left for holidays just before this edition of AP was due to be published. did anyone catch the review? Were conclusions favourable or was there the usual AP Nikon bias?

I am travelling abroad next week with the dreaded "no hand luggage" regulations probably still in force. I am not risking the istDS in the checked in luggage. Looking forward to running a few rolls through a well used Super A with a 24-50mm and 50mm f1.7. Should be robust enough for the hold and not worth stealing. I do miss the beautiful Super A viewfinder.....

Will have to buy film when I arrive at my final destination. Who knows what Xray dosage is being used in airport scanners at the moment.

Your point about the rear lens element is interesting. Itshould in theory be a problem for 35mm film cameras which have a larger mirror.

that is very impressive for a handheld shot. Focus is in the right place and the colours are lovely.

You sometimes see good things written about Soligor lenses.I t might be worth investigating some of their others.
