Hi Andrew

Have you tried this with the DA55-300 attached, just wondered as I'm thinking of it for my K5 + DA17-70?

Thanks

Simon
With the 55-300 fitted the zips won't do up fully, the sides go, but they won't reach accross the back.
Thanks Andrew - probably just slightly too small then

After posting recently that it's like Ebay here on the forum I'm adding to it now myself!!

I've just invested in a new Benro CF tripod so my trusty Velbon Luxi F is up for sale.

Great little travel tripod, lots of good comments on Google about it.

It's in good condition, a couple of small wear and tear scuffs on a couple of legs, nothing much though - I've modified it slightly by adding a hook to the centre column so that it can be weighted down - easily removable if you don't want to use it. Supplied in original bag (also in good condition)

Asking £36 including postage (U.K only)

Maximum height: 161cm
Closed length: 39cm
Leg sections: 5
Weight: 1.32 kg
Leg mechanism: button to release, twist to secure
Head: 4-way pan head (detachable)
Maximal load capacity: 2 kg

Neither are stellar performers by most accounts, if you're considering a DA55-300 in future then the DA17-70 is well worth considering,as is the Sigma 17-70 and Tamron 17-50 any of these will give better IQ than the two you mention.

I can see the appeal of the Pentax 18-135 with the WR, as the Sigma doesn't have this feature though and the range is not that great I can't see as its worth the compromise in IQ

Just my thoughts anyway

No, neither did they title the band. Just a picture for an article highlighting new talent in the Cork music scene.
Naughty of the paper - they shouldn't publish anything without having the approval of the copyright holder, suprised the band passed it on without at least making sure they had a mention too. If they haven't credited you then you've had no benefit whatsoever and they've had a free photo to go with their article. I'd certainly be in contact with them, it's happening far too often this lately!!

Out of interest did the paper credit you for the photo as the copyright holder?

So far mine has been consistently inaccurate, since owning my K5 it's always been level when displaying 3 bars to the left - I'm hoping Pentax will allow us in future to calibrate it but it probably won't happen

Pleased to say (touch wood)I haven't had a single problem in 4yrs of Pentax ownership.

On the whole you tend to see people with negative experiences commenting on it much more than those with positive ones so looking at this forum over the past year or two I get the impression that Pentax is at least comparable to other manufacturers when it comes to QC
