It has to be the K5 body - the excellent high iso makes all the difference for travel. The extra pixels also mean you can get away with quite a bit of cropping which might be useful if limiting yourself to a couple of lenses

Nice review and it looks a decent bag too, thanks for posting this.

I current have the Lowepro Primus AW which is great for hiking and carrying a bit of gear including a tripod, I wouldn't use it as an "all purpose" bag though whereas the Tamrac seems better suited in this respect

I'm selling a brand new, unused Manfrotto 394-H aluminium tripod, it still has labels attached and is supplied with all original packaging. It's one of the latest models.

I received it as a gift but I already have a Benro lightweight CF tripod so won't use this one.

Here's a link/video review of the tripod

Great scene Simon (not too far from my parent's home) especially the sunlight on the trees. Though it does seem a little over-saturated (is it HDR ?) and it may be slightly skewed (everything - tree, rocks, water - seems to slide to the right). and need straightening. Or is that just me !?
It is HDR - reasonably subtle though I think: saturation is perhaps slightly high but the filtered sun was particularly nice and I think the slight tweak has made the most of it - levels wise I think it's pretty much spot on, the growth direction of the trees is more to do the with the wind that howls around there than anything else, I'm sure your parents will vouch for that

Thanks

It may well have been today too Andrew - I got a good soaking just before taking this shot and it was pouring again as I walked back to the car - I was very pleased to get this as it looked initially as though I'd wasted my time,

In between the rain today I managed to catch this shot of Miners Bridge in Betws-y-Coed. Luckily there were flashes of sunlight through the clouds which produced some very nice filtered lighting.

All feedback welcome as usual

Albelli get my vote too, I've tried several others previously and whilst they were all fine the quality of the Albelli one was definitely better
